USDA Rural Development Rural Micorenterprise Assistance Program (RMAP) Loan Fund

The Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center was awarded $500,000 in loan funds from USDA Rural Development’s Microenterprise Assistance Program (RMAP) in 2011. The program is administered by the USDA’s Rural Development.  The purpose of the RMAP program is to support the development and ongoing success of rural microentrepreneurs andmicroenterpises.

The fund is available to businesses and entrepreneurs within the eight Eastern Shore Counties Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester.

The goals of the fund are job growth and business expansion.  Therefore, loan requests should involve activities and uses that achieve these goals.

As funds are available, loan requests in the amount up to $50,000 are welcomed.
