Maryland DHCD Microenterprise Lending Program

The Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center was awarded $200,000 in loan funds from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) Microenterprise Loan Program in 2013.  The Maryland Microenterprise Loan Program (MLP) expands opportunities for small business development and sustains local economies in Maryland communities.

The fund is intended to help leverage the existing county revolving loan fund in Kent County by serving to match funds provided by the County.

The goals of the fund are job growth and business expansion.  Therefore, loan requests should involve activities and uses that achieve these goals.

Loan Application Process:

Funds are available as part of loan requests in the amount up to $50,000 that are submitted to the Kent County Revolving Loan Fund.
